Tips

. . .
1/3

Don't miss Tenerife's carnival, the world's second biggest after Rio's. The 14-day festival takes place in February and features huge open-air parties and streets full of general merrymaking.

2/3

If you've got time take the ferry to the smaller islands of La Gomera or La Palma and see a more peaceful and laidback side to the Canary Islands.

3/3

If you love beach parties then don't miss the midsummer party of San Juan on the night of 23 June. Bonfires are lit all over the island and everyone heads down to the beaches for one big party.
