Malaga weather

Malaga's weather is typical for southern Spain with a climate in summer that sees average temperatures regularly hitting 30 degrees. While this might sound hot, the lack of humidity means these temperatures are more than bearable - so don't rush for your handheld fan just yet. But if you're after something a little fresher then the best time to go is during spring and autumn, although weather forecasts might report the odd rain shower or two, especially in October. Mild winters mean the weather in Malaga is great all year round giving you the perfect destination for both a beach holiday and a city break.

Tips

. . .
1/3

If you are travelling to Malaga you have to try its famous 'pescaito frito' or small fried fish. Head down to the old fisherman's village of El Palo to the east of the city where you'll get the freshest catch of the day.

2/3

One of the best ways to see Malaga and get your bearings is to take one of the city's official tour buses. There are 12 stops starting from the main bus station and the trip lasts around an hour and a half.

3/3

Head 16km south west of Malaga and you'll come across the busy resort of Torremolinos. Here you'll find sandy beaches by the bucket load, waterparks, restaurants and every other kind of tourist attraction you can think of.
