Nantes weather

On the whole, the weather in Nantes is mild all year round. Temperatures in summer average around 20 degrees, although high temperatures can reach into the low 30s on occasions. This is the best time to visit the city as not only will you experience the warmest temperatures, but you’ll also witness the lowest rainfall and the longest days. Winters in Nantes can be a little on the wet side, but are rarely too cold, with temperatures averaging around 8 to 11 degrees. February:   Over 250 classical music concerts make up the Folle Journée de Nantes, with works by famous composers, together with music-related conferences and lectures.

August:  Jazz and blues concerts take place along the riverside in conjunction with a number of sailing regattas at Rendez-Vous de L'Erdre Festival.

September:  Futuristic performances take place at Scopitone, a fusion of music, digital and performing arts that celebrates new music technology.

November:  At the 3 Continents Film Festival, directors from Asia, Latin America and Africa flock to Nantes to showcase their work.
