The world’s fifth largest church and one of the most impressive Brussels sights is the gargantuan Basilique Nationale Du Sacré-Cœur. You’ll find it at the end of Blvd Léopold II in Koekelberg, and for a small fee you can even climb its 90m-high dome.

Costume and Lace Museum

Tips

. . .
1/3

Surrounded on all sides by delightful forests and parks, if you’re looking somewhere to walk and enjoy the scenery you’ll be spoilt for choice. Relax by the lake in the Bois de la Cambre, then head off into the Sonian Forest from there.

2/3

One of the highlights of Brussels’ tourism is the Museum of Musical Instruments. Housing over 6000 pieces, the museum building itself is an incredible example of Art Nouveau architecture. Don’t miss the incredible views from the roof terrace!

3/3

Although on the whole a very safe city, Brussels is frequented from time to time by pickpockets. Just make sure you have your money stored safely in your front trouser pockets, or in another safe place.
